ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

We are excited to announce that we will be returning to the Drury Plaza Hotel - Disney Spring Area for our Fall 2024 Meeting.

Unfortunately, registration and the special rate for the rooms ended on October 4th, 2024.

WORKSHOP SESSIONS

Based on the survey results, our workshop presentations will focus on the following three ACUHO-I Core Competencies:

1. Leadership,

2. Residential Education Services, and

3. Student Behavior

There will be at least six (6) (30-45 min) workshop presentations tailored to the three core competencies. You will have the opportunity to attend two of the six sessions. These presentations will be presented by those who are seen as subject matter experts within the State of Florida.

BEST OF FLORIDA PROPOSALS

During the meeting, we will be listening to our amazing and bright housing professionals on their 'Best of Florida' proposals. This will be a quick 5-15 minute summary presentation of what the candidate's main presentation will entail. This session is needed to identify our Best of Florida selection for SEAHO 2025. The program voted Best of Florida will be automatically slated to present at SEAHO 2025 in Huntsville, AL.

ELECTIONS

We will hold special elections for the State Rep Position to complete the 2024-2026 Term (this term will end on SEAHO 2026, election for the new term will be held during the Fall 2025 meeting). Following our normal election cycle, we will also be voting for the Treasurer Position to start the next term (2025-2027; term starts on SEAHO 2025).

 

If you're interested in either of these positions, please submit your intent form by October 21st. You will need your SHO/Director's and Institution's support/approval.
